If you are a laptop user, you might be pretty interested in your system's power management. Knowing your laptop’s power consumption statistics will help you in achieving better battery life and performance. Today , so many software’s are available in the internet to monitor and report your battery health and power usage . But you can do this in windows 7 itself. You can generate a power efficiency report with lots of information about your laptop’s power consumption with a single step. Let's see how to do this.
- Run command prompt as an administrator. [Goto Start and search for cmd.Right Click and select Run as administrator]
- Type powercfg[space]-energy (Type only the red highlighted bold words)
- Now system will start tracing your power consumption. Wait for the process to finish. A report will be generated as an HTML file and path to file will be given. Follow the path to see the report
